自從疫情肆虐，到鄰國戰爭，到各種天災人禍帶來的經濟壓力、離別紛爭等，人人都好像走在荒漠裡，在迷惘中渴望著驅散黑暗的曙光。作為唱作藝術家的G.E.M.鄧紫棋明白自己能做的，就是用音樂向聽眾傳遞生命力，為破碎的心帶來盼望。《啓示錄》是一張遵從內心而又找到流行與實驗性之平衡並且充滿生命力的概念之作。G.E.M.鄧紫棋一如既往為全碟完成高質量詞曲，並聯手內地全能音樂人宮閣共同製作，帶來《啓示錄》的首波核心主打《GLORIA》，為啟示之路掀開神聖序幕！
《GLORIA》的誕生源於G.E.M.鄧紫棋的英文原名Gloria。她分享道：「Gloria是爸爸給我取的名字。我從小就覺得很好聽，而且充滿榮耀。長大了，更認定這是我的使命 – 在世上作鹽作光。」當2022的世界變得如此魔幻，G.E.M.鄧紫棋在壓抑的大環境下，安靜誠實地探尋自己的內心，希望用最真實的生命影響生命：「因為我們成了一臺戲，給世人和天使觀看。」
音樂方面，流動的電子音色營造了荒野的基底色調；副歌裡808與和聲的簡潔搭配，營造了在靈裡那簡單卻震撼的呼喚；加上電吉他、弦樂的層層遞進，還有那帶著平安的歌聲，我們彷彿能聽到Gloria在最絕望時那從天而來聖潔榮耀的安慰。
音樂錄影帶方面，G.E.M.鄧紫棋史無前例以連續劇形式呈現整張專輯每一首歌，為流行樂壇展開歷史的新一頁。首次擔任主創、編劇及監製的她，聯同全能影像創作人林博導演共同打造14集音樂連續劇。整張專輯每一首歌都有一個獨立MV，串起來卻是一個有連續劇情的大故事。G.E.M.鄧紫棋坦言：「在這個碎片時代，已經很少觀眾有耐心完整聽完一首歌，但是我卻有14首我認為極其珍貴的啟示想與大家分享，終於我想到了音樂連續劇這一種新的形式，希望能吸引觀眾用心聽完專輯裡的每首作品。」為此，G.E.M.鄧紫棋開始了人生中第一次的劇本寫作，創作了屬於自己的第一個原創故事。
在元宇宙遇上愛，這是網絡3.0時代愛的啟示。故事以虛擬世界為背景，呈現當今社會的真實面貌，包括人對自我形象缺乏安全感的掙扎和焦慮、在生活種種挫折下的迷失，還有網絡暴力對人心與關係的撕裂等等問題，從而引出對一場關於愛的深思。愛，就是我們在此刻壓抑的大環境下，最需要學習的課題。
首集開端，Gloria（G.E.M.鄧紫棋飾）身處荒蕪的「廢土」中，周圍是殘垣斷壁的建築，整座城市失去了生機。她望向那熟識的廣告牌「Welcome to AFTERLAND」，她知道自己再也回不去。她黯然無光地在廢土穿行，越過黑沙來到海邊，絕望地祈禱。正當她無力地跪倒在海面之際，海水竟然向兩邊分開，萬丈海浪，高聳成牆，啓示之門從這一刻起正式打開。
